Roy is a Mexican-American filmmaker and multi-media artist.

Being born on the South Texas border, Roy was exposed to and experienced a lot of the struggles and ways of perseverance that come with being a Chicano person trying to make a life for themselves in America. Roy feels that those hardworking characteristics that he’s learned in his Chicano life so far, are often transferred over to and are a big part of his artistic process and journey.

Roy, now based in the Rio Grande Valley, is a recent film graduate from the Columbus College of Art & Design. His work as an artist has been featured in 614 Magazine, the 2022 Amplifier Film Festival in Germany, and entertainment venues across Columbus, Ohio.
